I think 2 things are happening in parallel that cause this: 1. People look at the code less and less. This is especially true of newer developers. So there isn't the pull to try new things like there was previously. 2. Framework decision is made by fewer people than in the past. We're approaching a world where the people who build agents and write the system prompt are the ones who are most influencial over framework choice.
