mcps are much stronger typed, more native capabilities, generally should be overall better also dont forget: skills are generally token hungry, and llms are not perfect at writing bash, meaning more errors but the fact that this conversation is going makes me think anyone asking about it isnt serious like you dont gotta have a PhD to reason about how token consumption and recall work
